100 Resilient Cities – Pioneered by The Rockefeller Foundation (100RC) is a new organization dedicated to helping cities around the world be better prepared for, and quickly rebound from, 21st century shocks and stresses. Over the next few years, 100 Resilient Cities will select and work with 100 member cities from around the globe for whom it plans to provide four kinds of value: 1) Financial and other support for putting in place a new city resilience leader, a Chief Resilience Officer; 2) Support for development of a robust resilience strategy; 3) Management of a peer-to-peer network of member cities who can learn from and help each other; and 4) Connections to solutions, service providers, and other partners who can help cities implement resilience strategies. 100RC seeks to increase awareness of the importance of resilience thinking, to catalyze a new community of urban resilience practitioners, and to spur the growth of a robust ecosystem of resilience-focused solutions and solution providers.


The Manager of Data Analytics and Performance Reporting for the City and Practice Management (CPM) Team will play a key role in tracking the performance and the impact of our work with our member cities by supporting the internal management of the CPM Team.  In particular, the Manager will be responsible for helping to design and manage workflows across the geographically distributed team and for ensuring that the team’s information management systems are developed and maintained in a way that enables 100RC to operate efficiently and effectively.  Reporting to and under the direction of the Head of Operations & Program Strategy, the Manager will also work to identify insights and lessons learned that could be used to improve how the City and Practice Management team operates internally as a team and externally with our partners. 

100RC is a rapidly growing organization that is moving from a start-up culture to an established international non-profit requiring centralized management of its operations and objectives.  The CPM Team is charged with working in direct partnership with the 100 member cities to create and implement resilience programs in their respective cities that leverage the 100RC network and platform of city solutions.  The CPM Team consists of a team of approximately 40 people spread across 4 offices - New York, London, Singapore and Mexico City. The team is divided into regions - Latin America and the Caribbean, North America & Africa, Europe and the Middle East, Asia and the Pacific.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Performance Reporting

  • Design and produce dashboards and reports to communicate team and portfolio performance, as well as the CPM team’s management needs internally and to senior leadership.
    • Use an array of techniques to analyze and present data, including visual presentations.
    • Under the direction of the Head of Operations and Program Strategy, gather data for team and organization-wide special projects, including research analysis, grant reports and best practice modules.
  • Produce reports for standing CPM team operational meetings to inform the agenda and continuity as it relates to follow-up actions. Ensuring the accuracy of the data and trouble shooting where necessary.

Workflow and Data Management

  • Translation of historical and new CPM workflow and processes into Salesforce
    • Train CPM team and relevant program areas on new processes
    • Lead on-boarding and refresher sessions for existing and new staff, as needed
  • Monitor accuracy of data in Salesforce, including periodic audits of the CPM team’s system usage and performance

Process Design and Workflow

  • Assist with the workflow management for standing governance meetings by leading on logistics, managing reports, data and other components to ensure effective decision making.
  • Monitor the CPM’s team process design and workflow to ensure the team is operating efficiently and effectively. When necessary, coordinate with the Head of Operations & Program Strategy to develop mew systems and processes.



The ideal candidate will possess the following expertise:

  • Minimum 3-5 years of related work experience preferably in performance tracking and process design
  • Proficiency with information/data system management, specifically Salesforce operating system
  • Experience with operations
  • Tertiary degree in relevant field is required

The ideal candidate will demonstrate the following qualities and skills:

  • Strong ability to drive progress, promote innovation, and display ownership dynamic conditions through project management skills.  
  • Exceptional project management skills including the ability to skillfully use software, such as Excel, PowerPoint and Salesforce to produce outputs.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Solid operational skills, including ability to work and deliver projects within specificed time frames and deadlines.
  • Solid experience training end users on information management systems.
  • Authentic connection and interest in urban resilience, with a background in relevant issues and a passion for 100RC's work.

Preferred experience:

  • Engaging with actors and organizations across sectors (public, private, nonprofit),
  • Working in multi-cultural environments and international organizations,
  • Interpersonal skills,
  • New organizational build-out/development,
  • Experience in urban or municipal functions, strategic planning, urban development, community or participatory planning
