Pioneered by The Rockefeller Foundation, 100 Resilient Cities (100RC) is an organization dedicated to helping cities to be better prepared for and quickly rebound from 21st century shocks and stresses. 100 Resilient Cities has selected and is working with 100 member cities from around the globe for whom it provides four kinds of value: 1) Financial and other support for putting in place a new city resilience leader, the Chief Resilience Officer (CRO); 2) Support for the development of a robust city resilience strategy; 3) Management of a peer-to-peer network of 100 member cities who can learn from and help each other; and 4) Connection to curated solutions of services provided by Platform Partners who can help cities implement their resilience strategies. 100RC seeks to increase awareness of the importance of resilience thinking, to catalyze a new community of urban resilience practitioners and spur the growth of a robust ecosystem of resilience-focused solutions and solution providers across the world.


100 Resilient Cities is looking for an Associate to work in its Mexico City office. Our Associate will provide direct support to the Latin America and Caribbean Regional Team, (City and Practice Management Team).


Initial responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Serve as administrative point person for the regional team; assist with scheduling meetings and meeting technology (setting up video-conferences), booking spaces, establishing conference lines and supporting with meeting follow-up
  • Support regional team by managing logistical and administrative functions for core activities such as: weekly calls and other internal processes
  • Book and manage all travel arrangements including accommodation and itineraries; must be aware of larger organizational impacts when coordinating and scheduling
  • Process and manage expense claims and provide support for budgetary follow up
  • Coordinate across 100RC to improve communications and streamline systems for efficiency in support of the Latin America and Caribbean team
  • Conduct research on member cities and other important stakeholders, work across 100RC to document and share knowledge
  • Coordinate and interface with professionalism with vendors and external contacts
  • Provide translation support within language capacity and fluency, as needed
  • Assist in the preparation of Latin America and Caribbean Salesforce database and performance management reports, including tracking of key team tasks and deliverables


Desired Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in public administration, international relations, economics, urban studies, geography, planning or related topics
  • At least 2 years of work experience in city or municipal related matters or Master’s degree in associated topics
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Authentic interest to urban resilience and areas related to cities work in Latin America and the Caribbean, and passion for 100RC's mission
  • Exceptional project management and time management skills
  • Skilled in using software to produce and format outputs including Excel, Powerpoint, etc.
  • Solid operational skills, including ability to work and deliver projects collaboratively, proactively and under pressure
  • Extremely proactive with a high degree of aptitude for complexity in scheduling, organizing and managing meetings, following up on and tracking action items
  • Full fluency in oral and written English, Spanish, and Portuguese is required
  • Work authorization in Mexico is preferred
