100 Resilient Cities – Pioneered by The Rockefeller Foundation (100RC) is an organization dedicated to helping cities to be better prepared for and quickly rebound from 21st century shocks and stresses. 100 Resilient Cities works with 100 member cities from around the globe for whom it plans to provide four kinds of value: 1) Financial and other support for putting in place a new city resilience leader, a Chief Resilience Officer; 2) Support for development of a robust resilience strategy; 3) Management of a peer-to-peer network of member cities who can learn from and help each other; and 4) Connecting member cities to solutions, service providers, and other partners who can help them to implement their resilience strategies. 100RC seeks to increase awareness of the importance of resilience thinking, to catalyze a new community of urban resilience practitioners and spur the growth of a robust ecosystem of resilience-focused solutions and solution providers.


100 Resilient Cities is looking for an Associate in the Singapore office. Our Associate will provide direct support to the Managing Director, Asia and Pacific (APAC) and support to the Global Resilience Practice Team’s operations and implementation.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:


  • Provide direct administrative support to the Managing Director and Associate Directors including but, not limited to, processing expenses, managing meetings and travel schedule, and preparing briefing notes and written communications
  • Book and manage all travel arrangements to include accommodation and itineraries. Must be aware of larger organizational impacts when coordinating and scheduling since 100RC is a global organization.
  • Provide budgetary support for the Managing Director and the regional team as needed, in particular tracking and updating monthly and quarterly reports
  • Serve as the administrative point person for the regional team. Assist with scheduling meetings and meeting technology (e.g. setting up video-conferences), booking spaces, establishing conference lines and supporting with meeting notes and follow-up.


  • Coordinate across 100RC to improve communications and support the APAC Teams efforts to maintain consistent global operations
  • Coordinate, negotiate, and manage relationships with vendors and external contacts/stakeholders
  • Handle general office facilities tasks, e.g. office supply inventory and ordering, technology setup, visitor access, mail, and more.
  • As needed, support regional team by supporting core activities such as scheduling and taking notes on weekly Team meetings, peer review, City and CRO Orientation, agenda setting workshops, strategy launch and development process, platform partner engagements.
  • Assist in the preparation of APAC Salesforce and performance management reports. Coordination and tracking of key team tasks and deliverables for governance review.


  • Assist Managing Director and team with preparing, creating, and customizing materials as needed for city engagements, general outreach, meetings, and presentations.
  • Provide background research, talking points, and visual aids around urban issues.
  • Conduct research on member cities and other important stakeholders and help to build knowledge assets about cities for the organization.
  • Produce and coordinate work plans with global colleagues for discreet regional events, in particular urban resilience training.
  • Provide translation support within language capacity and fluency.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Must be authorized to work in Singapore. 
  • Relevant bachelor's degree with minimum 2 year’s work experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively and efficiently in a fast-pasted multi-cultural environment
  • Solid operational skills, including ability to work and deliver tasks independently, proactively and under pressure
  • Demonstrated knowledge about Asia-Pacific region, including proven experience planning travel and awareness of cost norms.

Desired Qualifications and Experience

  • Bilingual or multilingual in Mandarin, Malay and/or Bahasa Indonesia (high proficiency/native speakers preferred)
  • Proven track record in managing financial resources and budgeting.
  • Demonstrated ability to use software to produce outputs including Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Excellent communications and writing skills
  • Experience managing relationships with a variety of partners from public, private and civil society preferred.
  • Interest in the field of study related to urban resilience, such as development, public health, social equity, urban planning, city management, etc
  • Effectively collaborates with and across teams, seeks and provides constructive feedback
